Primary Responsibilities
- Review and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of full sets of financial accounts across multiple entities.
- Lead the preparation of consolidated and standalone financial statements for statutory audit, management reporting, and regulatory submissions.
- Prepare and review tax computations and filings for submission to the Inland Revenue Department (IRD), ensuring compliance with applicable local tax regulations.
- Manage quarterly commission calculations, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and support the Relationship Manager (RM) incentive framework.
- Coordinate the annual audit process, serving as the key liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and the company secretary.
- Support statutory and regulatory reporting requirements to the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and other relevant authorities.
- Oversee treasury and banking matters, including bank account openings, KYC and due diligence documentation, and maintenance of financial systems.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners to facilitate efficient documentation and information flow.
- Support the implementation, enhancement, and optimization of accounting and finance systems and processes.
- Contribute to ad hoc financial projects, analysis, and initiatives, providing timely support to the Finance Department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting within a corporate, professional services, or financial services environment.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and managing full audit cycles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting systems.
- Fluent in English and Cantonese, with Mandarin considered an advantage.
- High level of attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy and quality while working under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with internal teams and external parties.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of key financial processes, and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Self-motivated, well-organised, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
