Primary Responsibilities
- Own the full trade lifecycle post-execution: capture, validation, confirmation, and reconciliation of OTC crypto derivatives.
- Build and enhance internal tools for trade monitoring, reconciliation, and exception handling.
- Perform daily reconciliations of trades and positions with external counterparties; investigate and resolve breaks with traders and counterparties.
- Monitor credit limits, funding requirements, and margin/collateral across counterparties and exchanges, including margin calculations.
- Oversee and support the settlement of swaps and other derivative products to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation to reduce risk and manual touchpoints.
- Collaborate with trading, tech, and finance teams to ensure smooth post-trade operations and accurate PnL impact reporting.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in middle office or operations, ideally within crypto, OTC derivatives, or broader trading environments.
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and post-trade processes for OTC derivatives.
- Solid knowledge of credit, margin, and collateral management, including margin calculation methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with trade reconciliation, break resolution, position monitoring, and derivatives settlement (including swaps).
- Proven track record of improving operational workflows and developing or working with internal tools.
- Familiarity with the crypto market is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SQL or Python is a strong plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to solve problems under pressure.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
