RFO offers a one-stop comprehensive family office solution by providing a wide range of services including family offices advisory, taxation planning, independent asset management (IAM), insurance brokerage, overseas property investment and corporate services, ensuring we cover all aspects of family governance and family constitutions end-to-end. Headquartered in Hong Kong, RFO is also incorporated in Singapore, Taipei and Shanghai.

We are currently seeking an Associate (Insurance Team), based in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage the submission of individual life insurance applications to life insurance companies.
  • Reconcile outstanding pending case requirements and requests for additional information with RMs/insurers.
  • Advocate and negotiate with life insurance carriers on informal and formal offers, e.g., special quotations.
  • Review and identify abnormal answers or findings in basic underwriting of new business submissions.
  • Communicate via email and phone to RMs in conjunction with supporting their various cases.
  • Support RMs with medical bookings and the preparation of relevant documents for new/annual renewal applications.
  • Utilize email, computer, and web-based systems to organize, manage, and transmit documents.
  • Generate quotations and prepare proposals on life insurance cases.
  • Have a sense of urgency without losing attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must have 1 to 3 years of experience working in insurance broker firms handling new business and existing policy services.
  • Preferably, experience with a multi-carrier environment and managing complex cases for Sales that work with high-net-worth individuals.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, enthusiasm, and dependability, and demonstrate a strong interest in providing exceptional customer support.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese is a must (written and spoken).
  • Willing to take initiative, exhibit creative thinking, and take ownership of cases.
  • Self-starter attitude and a strong desire to provide excellent results.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-moving start-up company environment.
